We founded Biodiverse Garden Design in early 2022. With backgrounds in landscape construction, permaculture and fine art practice, we believe in bringing magic to the everyday. Our garden supports the health of our family and we're passionate about helping others achieve the same. In the past, we struggled to switch off and our fast-paced lifestyle left us burnt out. We were concerned about the changing climate and had no idea how to make a difference. Today, we live in harmony with the seasons and we're connected to something bigger than ourselves. We nurture ecosystems and attract organisms we'd previously never seen or heard of. We grow our own food and know the simple pleasure of foraging for earthy mushrooms in autumn. We bounce out of bed and drift off with ease. There's a proven link between green spaces and mental health. They can reduce stress and improve sleep, mood and energy levels. It's incredible to think that something that supports our wellbeing, and that of the planet, can also add value to a home. But, it's been widely reported that buyers are willing to pay more for eco-friendly homes as sustainability becomes the norm. Aligning home life with nature has so many benefits. In biodiverse spaces, we thrive!

When will the course take place?
3 July - 7 August 2025, 6:30 - 8:00 PM AEST.
What if I can’t make the live sessions?
No problem! All masterclasses and Q&A sessions will be recorded and uploaded to the portal the next day, so you won’t miss a thing. You’ll have lifetime access to all course materials and recordings, so you can revisit them anytime.
When should I book?
Spaces are extremely limited and will book out. If you’re keen, we recommend booking ASAP to secure your spot.
It seems kind of expensive. Why should I invest?
The course is $1,997 + GST, so it’s definitely an investment, but here’s the thing: if you nail the fundamentals, you’ll save time and money in the long run. When you make decisions on the fly, missteps are inevitable. Planning prevents expensive mistakes. Even small oversights can snowball into major expenses and frustrating delays.
I don’t have any gardening experience — will this work for me?
Absolutely! This course is beginner-friendly. You’ll follow a clear, step-by-step process to design a garden that works for you. Plus, you’ll receive personalised feedback and support along the way. In our last round, we had a mix of first-timers and horticulturalists and everyone walked away with a stress-free roadmap for their own haven.
Will this course suit my climate?
Yep! We’ll teach you how to design for your unique site conditions. You’ll learn how to read your site, identify your microclimate and select plants and materials that will thrive. Plus, you’ll receive personalised feedback to help you adapt everything to your context.
Is my space too big/small?
From the smallest courtyard to the largest property, this course can be scaled to suit your space. The course helps you make the most of your space.
What if I don’t have a big budget for the build?
You don’t need a big budget to create something meaningful. This course is designed to help you make smart, cost-effective choices and avoid expensive missteps. You’ll learn how to prioritise, source affordable materials and stage your garden over time.
What if I’m not ready yet?
There’s no perfect time to start, but if you’re dreaming of a garden that attracts life and nurtures wellbeing, this course will give you the tools to make it happen. And with lifetime access, you can take it at your own pace and build over time.
Does this course cover 3D modelling?
No. We'll be creating 2D site plans and plant lists.
Do I need special tools or software?
No special tools are required. A notebook, a pencil and access to the course portal is all you need to get started.
Is there support available between sessions?
Yes! You’ll have access to our community group for daily feedback and support.
Will I complete a garden design by the end of the course?
Yes! By participating in the course and completing the outcomes, at the end of the six weeks, you’ll have a 2D site plan, a plant list and an installation roadmap to bring your design to life.
Do I need to be based in Australia?
This course is 100% online, so you can be located anywhere in the world!
